A brilliantly pitched game by USC's J.J. Kneece and Clemson's Alex Swalls was ultimately decided by the bat of Gamecock left fielder John Munn. The outfielder had two of USC's three hits and scored both runs, as he doubled and scored in the fifth and then homered in the seventh to deep center to give Kneece an insurance run. The USC hurler struck out ten Tigers on his way to a big victory.
