Carolina's Eddie Hill helped pull out a win over visiting Tennessee with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th for a 7-6 victory. The Vols pulled ahead early, scoring four runs in the third off Carolina starter Larry Erbaugh. USC fought their way back and took a 6-4 lead with a five run seventh. Tennessee rallied however, scoring one in the eighth and then tying the game in the ninth when Roger McKinney doubled and pitcher Joe O'Brien scored. That set the stage for Hill's extra inning heroics.
