Game Site: Knoxville, TN Game Synposis: Carolina dropped its fifth in a row, falling 70-67 to the 18th ranked Volunteers. USC led 17-16 at one point in the first half, but then fell behind by ten before rallying late in the half to get within four thanks to a free thrown and a dunk by Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia to end the half. After tying the game at 40 on an Evan Hinson jumper Carolina went cold and was down by 14 halfway through the final half. A 3-pointer by Justin Minaya started a rally that got interesting in the final two minutes. A layup by Wesley Myers and a pair of free throws from Chris Silva cut the lead to three with 1:16 left and a Tennessee turnover gave the ball right back. Frank Booker's layup made it a one-point game with 36 second remaining. UT's Grant Williams scored though to make it 70-67 and Minaya's last gasp three pointer didn't go in. Booker led the Gamecocks with 19 points but it was on 4-11 of shooting from the field and 1 of 6 on 3-pointers.
