Adair made one start at left tackle (against Florida) in 1929 as a sophomore, then started the first six games in 1930 before an injury sidelined him. In 1931 he recovered a fumble punt at the Furman three-ard line to set up USC’s first touchdown in a 27-0 win. He also blocked a Citadel punt at the Bulldog three to set up the first USC touchdown in a 26-7 win. Working as the starting left tackle in 1931 Adair made the Associated Press All-State team as well as the Florence Morning News’ All-State team. | |
