COREY ALEXANDER Running Back 2000 / 2001 Mooresville, NC

Biography

Alexander finished his career at Mooresville as their all-time leading rusher and was named All-State and All-Piedmont in 1997 before playing in the Shrine Bowl and the East-West All-Star Shrine Game. Alexander played at Gulf Coast Junior College in Mississippi in 1998 and 1999 before signing with the Gamecocks. His big moment in 2000 was a 58-yard touchdown reception in a 23-19 win over Mississippi State. Though listed as a running back on rosters, he split time between running back and receiver. He scored in 2001 on a 23-yard pass from Phil Petty against Kentucky. He lives now in Troutman, North Carolina.
