| A three-sport (baseball, basketball and football) athelete at Episocopal High, Weston was a standout both academically and athletically in high school. The older brother of Gamecock guard Nelson Weston, Bill was named Academic All-ACC in 1955. He backed up Frank Mincevich at guard in 1953 and 1954 and started some in 1955. He was a co-captain that year. After graduation he finished medical school at Duke then was a physician at MUSC, the University of Texas at San Antonio and the Medical College of Georgia where he finished as a professor emeritus. The school has a scholarship named for Weston. |
