| A native of Columbia, Abell played in the 1939 Shrine Bowl. After coming to USC Abell played on the freshman team in 1940 and was a squad member in 1941. He was a surveyor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for over 45 years. Abell passed away April 12, 2015 in Morehead City, NC. |
