DAVE ADAM
Guard
1957 / 1961
Short Hills, NJ
Biography
An All-State and All-Conference player at Milburn in 1956, injuries prevented Adam from making his varsity debut until 1959. Working as a backup guard that year Adam made some plays on big name quarterbacks, stuffing N.C. State’s Roman Gabriel for no gain and breaking up a pass by Georgia’s Fran Tarkenton. Adam also had an interception in the third quarter of the North Carolina game. Injuries wiped out most of Adam’s 1960 season. He worked as a reserve guard in 1961 and made the Academic All-ACC team that year.
