| Biography |

| Allen started at fullback against Duke in 1950 while spending most of his career as a reserve halfback. He went on to a long coaching career at Columbia, Batesburg-Leesville, Lancaster, Fort Mill and Richmond (VA) Hermitage high schools. He also coached the 1974 South Carolina squad in the Shrine Bowl. |
