| A severe ankle injury suffered against Virginia Tech slowed Urban some during the 1936 season, though he still started seven games and scored the winning touchdown in a 9-0 victory over The Citadel. The 1937 season saw him retain his starting spot and catch a 23-yad touchdown pass from Jack Lyon in a 13-13 tie with North Carolina. He also caught the game winner in a 12-7 win over Davidson that year. A back injury sidelined him some that year. In a 27-6 win over Furman in 1938 Urban set up a touchdown with a 25-yard catch from Rock Stroud to the Furman one. |
