Biography

An all-county lineman at Albertville in 1998, Walker signed on with the Gamecocks after his senior year in 1999. He redshirted in 2000 and saw action in one game in 2001 at the guard position. Walker played in two games in 2002 while working at both guard and tackle. He made the SEC Academic Honor Roll that year, a feat he repeated in 2004. Walker won the starting center job in 2003 but a knee injury in his first start (vs. Alabama-Birmingham) cost him the rest of the season and effectively ended his career.
