BOBBY WALLACE
Running Back
2005 / 2008
Conway, SC
Biography
Steve Spurrier’s first commitment at USC, Wallace was an All-State running back at Conway and was a Mr. Football finalist in additioin to being named Class AAAA Offensive Player of the Year by the High School Sports Report. Wallace played in the North-South All-Star Game in 2004 and was named Offensive MVP. He rushed for 4,031 yards in his final two high school seasons. Wallce started the 2005 season opener against Central Florida but spent the rest of the season as a reserve at tailback. He saw very limited playing time in 2006 but his 88 yard touchdown run against Middle Tennessee State ranks as the fourth longest run in Gamecock history. A fractured clavicle suffered in 2007 fall camp kept him out of all of that season but he came back in 2008 and backed up Mike Davis at tailback, getting multiple carries against UAB, Mississippi, Kentucky and Tennessee.
