1964 / 1966
Point Murray, NJ
Biography
Wehmeyer spent his first few seasons at USC at defensive end. He was the top backup to Leroy Bailey at left defensive end in 1965. He was shifted to the offensive line in 1966 and started the last three games of the 1966 season at offensive tackle. In 1967 a severe ankle injury limited his playing time. He went on to become a football and track coach at Georgetown’s Winyah High School and later at Georgetown (SC) High School.
