| The son of Larry Weldon, a Presbyterian College quarterback who played for the Washington Redskins, Weldon played for his father at Craddock High School, along with future Gamecock receiver J.R. Wilburn. He threw 32 touchdown passes for Craddock and was named all-state in 1960 before enrolling at USC. He lives in the Outer Banks area of North Carolina. |
