Whitecavage had a big senior season playing for Mahanoy Area, scoring three touchdowns (interception, blocked a punt and then returned it for six and a receiving touchdown on a tackle eligible play). He was only 5-10, 185 at the time though and chose to go to junior college. He was named an All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association as an offensive tackle in 1972 while playing for the Community College of Baltimore. He backed up Dana Carpenter at middle guard in 1973, did not play in 1974 and then was a reserve defensive end in 1975. He now lives in Southern California. |
