Biography

A member of Joe Morrison’s final recruiting class, Whitman earned All-League and All-County honors as a senior at Cedar Crest. He redshirted in 1989 and worked as the second string tight end in 1990. After a strong spring that saw him win the Joe Morrison Award as the top performer, Whitman opened the ’91 season as the starter at tight end and proved to be a reliable receiver with 71% of the passes going to him ending up as completions. A knee injury suffered during 1992 fall camp wiped out his senior season.
