Biography
A two-sport player at Carolina, Williams was 2nd team All-ACC in baseball in 1960 when he led the Gamecocks with a .350 batting average. His interception in the fourth quarter against Maryland in 1961 helped preserve a 20-10 Carolina win. Wiliams recovered a fumble inside the Northwestern 20 to set up a Gamecock touchdown in 1962. He went on to be a dentist in the North Augusta area.
