Biography
Williams earned All-County and All-District honors in 1997 as well as a berth on the Sun Coast All-Star team after picking off seven passes on defense and catching 26 passes on offense. He redshirted in 1998 then played in all 11 games in ’99 playing on special teams and as a backup linebacker. He was a regular on special teams throughout his career and was the top backup to Lance Laury at linebacker in 2002. Among his top plays that year were an interception against Mississippi State and a tackle for loss on a Matt Schaub pass against Virginia. He also was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll that season. Williams now lives in the Atlanta area.
