RANDY WILLIAMS
Linebacker
1967 / 1970
Marietta, GA
Biography
A member of the 1966 Marietta team that made it to the state championship game, Williams was named to the 1967 Georgia Coaches Assocation (GACA) North-South All-Star Game. He was listed as a fullback on the 1967 Gamecock freshman team but played linebacker throughout his varsity career. A key member of the special teams units in 1970, Williams’ best game that year may have been against Clemson when he made tackles on back to back plays on Tiger halfback Ray Yauger, limiting him to three yards. Williams also recovered an onside kick in that game.
