LADI AJIBOYE

Biography
Named All-State as a senior at Banneker by the Associated Press, Ajiboye played in the GACA North-South All-Star Game in 2005. He had 154 tackles and 15 sacks over his final two seasons with the Trojans. He committed to USC out of high school but attended Hargrave Military in 2006. Ajiboye switched his commitment to Virginia Tech while at Hargrave, then decided in December that he would enroll at South Carolina in January 2007 instead. He wasted no time making an impact, starting 10 games as a true freshman and earning Freshman All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches and from The Sporting News, who also named him second team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News. CollegeFootballNews.com placed him on their third team Freshman All-America squad. Ajiboye had two sacks in USC’s 21-15 win over North Carolina and earned the Providence Hospital All-Heart Player of the Week for his work against Mississippi State in 2007. Ajiboye started 11 games in 2008, though a broken hand limited his playing time in some games. He started 10 games in 2009 and was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his play against Clemson, while also stopping Trent Richardson for a loss twice against Alabama. Ajiboye started 11 games as a senior after winning the Weight Room Effort award in the spring. He was named second team All-SEC by Phil Steele and won the SportsXChange Game Ball for his play against Tennessee. Ajiboye affectively killed a Vol drive in the fourth quarter when he sacked Tyler Bray for a 9-yard loss at the USC 41 in a 38-24 win. He made the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2011.
