Biography |

Alexander was captain of the 1932 freshman squad. He started some at left halfback in 1934, in games against Clemson, Virginia Tech, Villanova and Furman. He moved to quarterback in 1935 and was USC’s starter there through a 3-7 campaign in which the Gamecock offense was shut out five times. Alexander served as the team captain that season and was named the team’s outstanding performer in the Clemson game. |
