Biography
Anderson earned All-District and All-State honors as a senior at T.C. Williams in 1987 and was named to The Washington Post’s All-Metro team. He had five interceptions as a senior while also catching 17 passes for 310 yards. Anderson signed with USC over West Virginia and East Carolina. He redshirted in 1988 then was a part-time starter in 1989 and led the Gamecock defensive backs in tackles. He blocked a punt out of the end zone for a safety in USC’s 27-20 win over North Carolina that season. He also had seven tackles and an interception against East Carolina. He missed almost all of 1990 with a shoulder injury though he did pick off a pass against East Tennessee State. He had surgery on both shoulders in the offseason and missed spring practice. The injuries continued to limit him during the season and he recorded 17 tackles in limited action, making a season high five tackles against UNC. He began the 1992 season as the starter at left cornerback and made 27 tackles that year. He lives in the northern Virginia / D.C. area now.
