| One of six players from Erie in the early 1940s, Arrowsmith returned an interception ninety yards for a touchdown against Davidson in his first year with the Gamecock varsity (1938). He was the Gamecocks’ regular fullback throughout most of 1940 and 1941 and handled extra points in 1940. He had a 49-yard touchdown pass against The Citadel in 1941. Arrowsmith was killed in Germany while serving during World War II. |
