Biography |

Willard came up with one of the big plays of USC’s 14-0 win over Clemson in 1932 when he recovered a fumble by Tiger punt returner Gene Willimon in the end zone for a touchdown. He won the 1933 Southern Conference boxing tournament in the middleweight class and repeated that feat again in 1934. After graduation he worked for Liberty Mutual in Chicago and Boston. His older brothers Billy and Charlie played for The Citadel. |
