| As a senior at Winnsboro Wood earned all-conference (on offense as an end and on defense as a linebacker) and all-state honors in addition to starting at defensive end in the 1970 Shrine Bowl. He spent much of the 1972 season backing up Bob Roe at left defensive end but earned one start that year, against Appalachian State. |
