Carolina stunned #3 Arkansas, taking the series opener on the road in a 3-2 win highlighted by solid defense and outstanding bullpen work. The Gamecocks scored first in the game, as Justin Row singled in the second, moved to second on a sac bunt by Jacob Olson and scored on a double by Hunter Taylor. The Razorbacks scored a run each in the second and third, holding a 2-1 lead when Chapman left the game. Sawyer Bridges came on for USC and did great work on the mound, holding Arkansas scoreless over 2 2/3 innings and picking up his second win on the season. Carolina took the lead in the top of the fifth when Noah Campbell singled and Carlos Cortes homered to left.
