The Gamecocks' season ended one win shy of a trip to Omaha, as they fell 14-4 to Arkansas in the deciding game of the Super Regional. Some sloppy defense, four hits and a walk led to the Razorbacks scoring five runs in the first and USC was never able to get back in the game. Arkansas scored two more in the second and after Carolina got its first two runs in the fourth trying to climb back into it the Razorbacks scored six more over the next two innings. Jacob Olson added a pair of late solo home runs, but that would be all Carolina would score as seven different pitchers made appearances. Only Parker Coyne, who pitched the last 1 2/3 didn't allow a run.
