After a gutsy comeback the night before USC came out flat on Saturday and fell 5-1 to #14 Clemson. Cody Morris, after winning his previous two starts, allowed six walks and four hits in just 3 1/3 innings and was constantly working in dangerous situations. Morris allowed three of the Tigers' runs and reliever Gage Hinson, who followed Morris, allowed two runs in 2/3 of an inning. USC struggled at the plate as well, as the top three hitters in the lineup were 1 for 10 combined. Madison Stokes was the bright spot in the order, as the shortstop from Columbia smacked his third home run of the year and also had two singles. 3B Jonah Bride (2-4) was the only other Gamecock with more than one hit.
