Carolina needed Cody Morris to be at his best facing #12 East Carolina in Game Two of the Greenville Regional and Morris delivered, pitching a career 7.1 innings and allowing just two runs. The Gamecocks jumped on ECU starter Alec Burleson early, scoring three in the first. Game One hero Danny Blair got the game started with a single, Madison Stokes walked and then Jonah Bride brought them both home with a double down the left field line. Bride later scored on an RBI single from LT Tolbert. ECU chipped away at the lead, with a run in the fourth and one more in the sixth but Ridge Chapman and Sawyer Bridges shut things down by blanking the Pirates for the last 1 2/3 innings. Carolina picked up an insurance run in the eighth when Justin Row was hit by a pitch and moved to second on a wild pitch. Row scored on a double by Jacob Olson and Bridges finished things off for his fourth save of the year. The win moved USC to the regional championship game.
