Dramatic win for the Gamecocks, as Carl Brazell's one out, 2-run single in the bottom of the ninth scored P Gene Molnar and 3B Bill Wohrman with the tying and winning runs. Molnar pitched a complete game and gave up no earned runs. USC's other run came on a triple by SS Tom Hofferth in the fifth.
