The Gamecocks won their fourth straight as they went on the road to Greenville and pummeled Furman 10-2. Freshman starter Carmen Mlodzinski went seven innings for his longest outing of the year, really running into trouble only in the bottom of the fourth when he allowed a pair of runs. Mlodzinski allowed just three hits while striking out seven before giving way to Ridge Chapman and Corey Stone to finish things. Chapman's impressive relief inning was highlighted by him striking out all three Paladins he faced. Offensively Jonah Bride led the way with four hits, including a pair of doubles, in his five trips to the plate. Carlos Cortes and Madison Stokes added home runs as USC's lead went 2-0, 3-2, 5-2, 6-2 and finally 10-2 with a four run eighth inning.
