Carolina's stay at the SEC Tournament ended after three games after dropping a 12-inning contest with LSU, 6-4. The Tigers scored first, plating two runs on an RBI single and a balk by starter Adam Hill in the second. A sacrifice fly by catcher Hunter Taylor scored Jonah Bride and cut the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth and a solo home run by Justin Row in the bottom of the sixth tied things up. LSU reclaimed the lead in the eighth as RF Antoine Duplantis reached on an infield single, took second and third on back-to-back wild pitches by Graham Lawson and scored on a sac fly. The Gamecocks rallied again, tying the game in the ninth when LT Tolbert led off the inning with a triple and scored on a single by Jacob Olson. Neither team could score in the 10th or 11th, but with two out in the top of the 12th Duplantis reached on a throwing error by Tolbert. He moved to second on a walk from John Gilreath and scored on an RBI single by LSU LF Daniel Cabrera. TJ Shook relieved Gilreath and gave up a 2-run double and that would be too much to overcome. USC did score one in the bottom of the 12th, as Matt Williams singled to open the inning. Kyle Jacobsen pinch ran for him and scored on a single by Madison Stokes but that would be all the Gamecocks could muster.
