The Gamecock offense took a few innings to get started but piled on twelve runs in their last five innings. Starter Logan Chapman and T.J. Shook kept the game close, giving up just one run in six innings. Jacob Olson finally broke the drought in the bottom of the fourth, scoring on a wild pitch. USC pulled ahead 2-1 in the fifth on an RBI single by Jonah Bride and the Gamecocks added three more in the sixth highlighted by Madison Stokes' two-run single. USC scored six runs in the seventh to blow the game open, as Matt Williams drove in two with a single and Stokes, Bride and LT Tolbert all drove in runs. Reserve Riley Hogan finished off the scoring with an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth. USC finishes the week with a series against Princeton before heading into SEC play.
