USC suffered a disappointing mid-week loss to Presbyterian, as the Gamecocks fell behind 3-0, rallied to tie the game then let it get away from them in a 7-4 loss. Freshman Carmen Mlodzinski, coming off a solid start, struggled in this one, giving up four runs in five innings on six hits and a walk. After Carolina trailed 3-0 thru two a pair of walks to Carlos Cortes and Madison Stokes got a rally going in the third. A triple from LT Tolbert scored those two and a double from Jacob Olson brought Tolbert home to tie the game. USC's only other run came in the bottom of the 7th when Cortes and Jonah Bride walked and Tolbert delivered a single for his third RBI of the game. USC dropped to 20-17 on the season with LSU coming in for a home series.
