After being named National Player of the Week in his last outing, Adam Hill turned in another strong outing to lead USC to a 9-2 win over Princeton. Hill was a little shaky in the first, giving up a run in the game's opening frame, but would give up just that run in five innings on two hits while striking out nine. Freshman John Gilreath gave the Gamecocks four outstanding innings of relief, earning a save by striking out eight and allowing only one run on four hits. Offensively, T.J. Hopkins' triple that scored Noah Campbell was the hit that gave Carolina the lead and got things going a little bit. First baseman Matt Williams added his second homer of the year and Jacob Olson drove in two runs with a double in the eighth.
