Kentucky took their third consecutive series from South Carolina Sunday with a 10-5 win. The Wildcats smashed four home runs on the day, including the first two batters who faced starter Logan Chapman. Reliever Eddy Demurias was also victimized for a pair of longballs. After falling behind 2-0 USC rallied to tie the game at two on a solo home run by Carlos Cortes in the top of the third and an RBI ground out by Hunter Taylor in the fourth. Unfortunately the Wildcats struck for three runs in the bottom of the fourth to go back up 5-2. The Gamecocks cut it to 5-3 in the 6th when Jonah Bride and Riley Hogan singled and Hunter Taylor walked. Jacob Olson's ground out brought in the third Carolina run. It looked like Chris Cullen had gotten a single through the infield that might tie the game, but UK shortstop Trey Dawson made an amazing stop and threw Cullen out at first. After falling behind 9-3 the Gamecocks added runs on RBI singles by Matt Williams and Hogan, but couldn't get any closer.
