Game Site: Columbia, SC Game Synposis: Carolina stunned #10 Auburn by racing out to a 26 point in the first 14 minutes of the game. USC pulled ahead 37-11 on a pair of free throws by Wesley Myers and the lead still stood at 21 at the end of the first half. The Gamecocks shot 48% in the first half while Auburn only shot 25%. Carolina fell offensively in the second half but still played inspired defense, possibly due to having last year's Final Four stars Sindarius Thornwell, PJ Dozier, Duane Notice and Justin McKie honored at halftime. For the third straight game Frank Booker led the scoring, this time with 19 points, while Chris Silva recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Auburn got as close as five points at 64-59 but a pair of layups from Maik Kotsar and a few free throws held the Tigers at bay.
