April 6th
1955 - Twin brothers Howard and Heyward Tunstall each started and won a game in a doubleheader sweep of Virginia. Howard started the opener, which also saw third baseman Carl Brazell belt a pair of solo homers in a 10-3 win. Heyward Tunstall went the distance and got the win in the second game, a 6-3 Carolina win. Five different Gamecocks had an RBI in the win. The pair of victories were USC's first ACC wins on the season, evening their ACC record at 2-2.
